This is an exciting week as new and returning students arrive on campus.
An important part of the welcome back process is Eagle Gathering, which will be held on Sunday evening. Eagle Gathering is a candle-lighting ceremony that helps new students begin to understand UMW’s community values and spirit. It’s a great opportunity for returning students, faculty and staff to “show up” and demonstrate their support and care for these new community members.
I invite you to be part of this new UMW tradition. Please join us on Ball Circle at 8:30 p.m. (for instructions). The ceremony will begin at 8:45 p.m.
I hope to see you at the Eagle Gathering on Sunday evening.
