In an effort to improve on the quality of tools available for faculty, staff and student research efforts, the University official online survey tool (Zarca) will be replaced by Qualtrics software effective July 1, 2015.
Over the past 8 years, Zarca has provided a platform through which several micro and macro scale surveys were deployed within and outside the university. These surveys have garnered data that have been used for both research and administrative purposes. Like other technologies, online survey tools have evolved over the past several years. While it is unlikely that a survey tool meets all end users requirements, Mary Washington is committed to providing tools that are most effective in meeting your needs.

As we transition to Qualtrics, it is recommended that individuals and administrative units with Zarca accounts download their surveys and associated data prior to the expiration of the software.
Zarca software will continue to be available for use until June 30, 2015. However, if you plan to deploy surveys that extend beyond that date, you are advised to use Qualtrics for creating your surveys as this will ensure your surveys are accessible beyond the transition period.
