Artwork by University of Mary Washington studio art scholarship recipients is on exhibit at Gallery VC at the Fredericksburg Visitor Center, located at 706 Caroline St. in downtown Fredericksburg. A reception will be held Friday, Oct. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition will be on display until Oct. 30.
Gallery VC was created through a partnership between UMW and the Fredericksburg Visitor Center coordinated by UMW Gallery Specialist Rosemary Jesionowski and Visitor Center Manager Julie Perry. The exhibition features student painting, serigraphy, sculpture, ceramics and mixed media.
Gallery VC was begun by the late Professor of Art History JeanAnn Dabb about 10 years ago.
Among the students exhibiting their work are Lauren Rauch, Lily Radolinski, Elisa Pritchard, Zachary Norrbom, Nicole Starkey, May Townley, Gabrielle Gatzke, Rachel Harkrader, Dominique Giles, Olivia Gallagher and Sarah Eells.
