Bookstore

Special Orientation Hours

The UMW Bookstore will have special orientation hours during the month of January.

  • January 12-13: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • January 14: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • January 15-January 16: closed
  • January 17-18: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • January 19: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Normal hours will resume on the 20th. For a complete list of hours, visit the website and scroll to the bottom of the page.

Regalia Rental for Faculty

Faculty and staff will now have the opportunity to rent or purchase academic regalia from Oak Hall, UMW’s official provider and the leading manufacturer of custom regalia in the country. Beginning January 11, 2017, faculty and staff may go online at https://oakhalli.com/colleges/umwfaculty to rent regalia for delivery directly to individual offices. Order by April 5 to receive regalia in time for Dr. Paino’s installation ceremony on April 21. Rentals may also be held and used for the May 12 and 13 Commencement and returned following Commencement. Order by April 29 to receive regalia in time for Commencement.

UMW Book Club

The next meeting of the UMW Book Club will take place from noon to 1 p.m. on January 18, 2017, in Lee Hall 414. We will be reading The Wilson Deception by David O. When shopping in Fredericksburg, remember to ask for discounts! Many local businesses offer discounts to UMW students and employees, as long as you show your EagleOne card.

 

 

Post Office

Stamp Price Change

Beginning January 22, the rate for First-Class Mail Letters is increasing from $0.47 to $0.49. There is still time to pick up forever stamps from the campus Post Office before the price increase!

Additionally, the metered mail rate is decreasing from $0.465 to $0.46, while the rate for First-Class Mail Flats is increasing from $0.94 to $0.98.
