Applications are being accepted for Leadership UMW 2019-20, now through September 3!
We invite you to apply for this professional development program which has graduated over 80 UMW faculty and staff members in the past five years. Those who commit to this program will have the opportunity to:
- Assess and build leadership capacity with a cohort of faculty and staff from across the university
- Develop a greater understanding of yourself and others through multi-rater feedback, self-assessments, group interaction and mentorship relations
- Learn strategies to motivate and improve individual and team performance
- Create individual development plans, and
- Learn more about the inner workings of UMW as an academic institution and as a business.
Commitment and Attendance:
Requirements of the Leadership UMW are:
- One half-day assessment / feedback session
- Two full-day leadership workshops
- Monthly mentor meetings
- Assigned readings, and
- Group projects or other leadership activities.
