UMW Libraries is experimenting with new ways to communicate with students and support them throughout the semester. A text messaging option is available to students and faculty by sending a message to 540-657-3337. Librarians can respond to your questions and send answers directly to your Smartphone. Librarians are also using Bomgar to provide remote assistance for more advanced problems involving library databases and other online research tools. Bomgar’s screensharing and communication features allow librarians to walk students through more challenging online problems without having to physically visit the library.
