UMW Chili Cook-Off Winners Announced

UMW’s Chili Cook-Off was another successful SAC event. More than 60 staff members came to the Chandler Ballroom in the University Center to taste 11 chili dishes and four cornbread recipes and vote on their favorite. For the first time ever, UMW had a double winner with Rita Dunston, University Registrar, winning for both chili and cornbread. Congratulations, Rita!
SAC Collecting Supplies for Back-to-School Drive

UMW SAC is partnering with Stafford County Schools for the 2018-2019 School Supply Drive.
SAC will be collecting supplies for the next several weeks at the following locations:
- Eagle Village, Suite 408
- GW Hall, Floors 1-3
- IT Help Desk, HCC 112
- Physical Plant, front lobby
- Lee Halls, Floors 1 and 2
Below is a list of commonly-needed items, which should qualify as tax-free during Virginia’s tax-free weekend Friday, Aug. 3 through Sunday, Aug. 5:
