C-SPAN’s Fredericksburg Weekend, airing this Saturday and Sunday, features the history and literary culture of Fredericksburg, Va. Highlights include faculty and staff from the University of Mary Washington.
Among those featured are Tim O’Donnell discussing the James Farmer Collection, Dan Preston talking about James Monroe’s personal books and papers collections, Jeff McClurken describes confederate veteran families in Virginia after the Civil War, Stephen Farnsworth will talk about his book, “The Nightly News Nightmare: Media Coverage of the U.S. Presidential Elections, 1988-2008” and Scott Harris discusses the James Monroe Museum and Library.
The segments will be sprinkled throughout the weekend on C-SPAN networks and they will air on C-SPAN2’s Book TV – Saturday, September 21 at 7 p.m. ET andC-SPAN3’s American History TV (AHTV) – Sunday, September 22 at 5 p.m. ET.
