The Virginia Black History Month Association – Voting Town Hall Meeting

The Virginia Black History Month Association is conducting a town hall meeting on voting rights, voter suppression, and voter registration on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 3 to 6 p.m. in Dodd Auditorium.

Hear and discuss the recent Supreme Court decision on the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the laws being introduced in North Carolina and other states concerning voting, and how to register to vote in Virginia. The event will feature a panel, including Chad Murphy, assistant professor of political science and international affairs, followed by audience commentary and the opportunity to register to vote.
