Historic Preservation Students Showcase Talent in Rap Video

historic pres rap screenUniversity of Mary Washington historic preservation students showed their knowledge of the National Register and their music skills in their recent “National Register Rap” on YouTube.

The video was a final project for Assistant Professor Andrea Livi Smith’s Historic Preservation 405 course in fall 2013, and features the talents of seniors Nathan Dawes, Sam Crystal, Kate Decco and Carol Vinitieri. Associate Professor and Chair of Historic Preservation Gary Stanton makes a cameo in the video.

The video has received more than 6,000 views on YouTube and numerous mentions on social media since the students posted it in December 2013.
