Parking Decal Expiration – This is a reminder that the old parking decals for Faculty/Staff expire on July 1st. Please make sure to request your new parking decal before July 1st to avoid getting ticketed while parking on campus. Banner and System downtime for fiscal year end – Fiscal year end is approaching which brings system(s) down time to accommodate year end processing.  Please mark your calendar that Banner will be down from 2:00PM on Friday June 30th until noon on Saturday, July 1st.  This impacts the Banner production environment, including SSB functionality and any system exchanging data with Banner.  Please refer to the End of Year System Down Time site for additional detailed information including EalgePay, Admission Deposits etc.  Finance will make every effort to have the systems restored as quickly as possible. Semi-monthly July Pay date  – Please be advised that the pay date for the 6/10/17-6/24/17 semi-monthly pay period will be Monday, July 3rd.  The 7/3 pay date may impact automatic transfer payments you have set up with your bank.  Please make sure to review your personal situation for any needed adjustments.  The Comptroller of Virginia establishes the pay dates for classified employees paid semi-monthly.  Due to legislation enacted in 1994 the pay day for the final pay period in the 2nd quarter of the year (July 1 pay day) will always be the first work day of July.  This is required for budgetary purposes as the Commonwealth’s fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30.  The 2017 calendar of scheduled pay dates for fulltime employees is found on the UMW website. http://adminfinance.umw.edu/payroll/files/2013/08/2017-Pay-Calendar.pdf.   Please share with any employee who may not have immediate access to a computer.
