Katherine Lister has been named Interim Director of Financial Aid. She follows Heidi Hunter-Goldsworthy, who concluded her tenure as Director of Financial Aid at UMW last week. Hunter-Goldsworthy served in this role since January 2014 and made tremendous contributions, especially as it relates to the use of technology in the Office of Financial Aid.
Lister has been a valuable member of the Enrollment Management team at UMW since 2005. Since 2014, she has served as Associate Director in the Office of Admissions. Prior to that, she served as Associate Director in the Office of Financial Aid.
Today’s financial aid director wears many hats: advisor, manager of budgets, supervisor, implementer of regulations, and keeper of data, to name a few. Lister’s many years of Financial Aid experience will serve her well in this important role. Before joining UMW’s Financial Aid Office, she was a Financial Aid Officer in California and worked extensively with the California College Financial Aid Administrators Association.
The University has launched a national search for the position of Director of Financial Aid.
