Bookstore

UMW Book Club

The UMW Book Club will discuss The Mothers by Brit Bennett on Wednesday, January 23, at 12 p.m. in the University Bookstore in Lee Hall. UMW faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend. For more information contact Margaret Mock, mmock@umw.edu.

Book Signing

On Wednesday, January 23, the University Bookstore will offer books at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day event at 7 p.m. in Chandler Ballroom of the University Center. Bernard LaFayette, Jr., the speaker and author, will sign copies of In Peace and Freedom: My Journey in Selma and The Chicago Freedom Movement. Books are available in the Bookstore in advance of the author’s speech as well as at the MLK Day event.  For more information, contact Margaret Mock, mmock@umw.edu.


Copy Center

Addressing Envelopes

Did you know that the Copy Center can print your addresses onto envelopes? We can also ensure that the addresses are in compliance with USPS requirements. With new USPS pricing going into effect, we are here to help you save money! Contact the Copy Center at x1935.


EagleOne

Off Campus Merchants

Faculty and staff can use their EagleOne card at many off-campus locations. See the EagleOne website for complete listing. Many local businesses offer discounts if you show your EagleOne; check with establishments to see if they offer any.

EagleOne Payroll Deduction

Employees may sign up for direct deposit automatic payroll deductions, which requires a minimum deduction of $10 per pay period. Simply fill out the online payroll deduction form, or contact the EagleOne office at x1005 for information and assistance.


Parking Management

New Parking System and Office Closure

The Parking Management office is excited to announce a new management system from NuPark, a leading parking management technology company. The new parking system will allow decal purchases and citation appeals through a customer portal that can be accessed through single sign on.

As a part of this transition, decals will be unavailable for online purchase between 5:00 p.m. on January 17, 2019 and 10:00 a.m. January 23, 2019.  If a decal is needed during this time, please email parking@umw.edu.

In addition, the Parking Management office will be closed from Tuesday, January 22, 2019 through Thursday, January 24, 2019. Please email parking@umw.edu with any questions and/or parking requests. Parking Management will respond within 24 hours  of your request.

Post Office

Welcome Back Rush

Welcome back! The Post Office is extremely busy this time of year. Please be advised that there may be extra time to process outgoing requests, so plan your shipping needs accordingly.

Postage Increase

A USPS rate increase takes effect January 27, 2019. Stamps will increase from $0.50 to $0.55 each. The UMW Post Office will have additional forever stamps on hand, so please plan accordingly and stock up before the increase. To see the full list of changes please go here.

Hyatt Place recognizes government room rates, provides meeting spaces at a discount, and offers a UMW guest rate of $104.00. Additionally, the hotel offers the university a limited number of complimentary rooms and gift baskets.
