University of Mary Washington Head Coach Marcus Kahn has received the 2026 Glenn Robinson National Coach of the Year award, which is presented annually to the top head coach in NCAA Division III college basketball. Kahn was also named 2025-2026 Coach of the Year by D3hoops, an independent news and coverage site dedicated to NCAA Division III basketball, adding another coaching honor to his résumé.
After finishing 15-15 a season ago, Kahn has led Mary Washington to a 29-3 record this year, including a berth in the Division III National Championship game on April 5. It’s the program’s first-ever appearance in the title game.
“Marcus Kahn has been doing an outstanding job for many years,” said Joe Dwyer, President of College Insider, Inc. and member of the Glenn Robinson voting panel. “He established himself as one of the top coaches in the country during his time at Cabrini, and he’s turned Mary Washington into a perennial contender.” Read more about Coach Kahn receiving Coach of the Year honors.
