UMW Students Reach Out; Fredericksburg.com
Last Monday, many people had a day off for Martin Luther King Day. But students at the University of Mary Washington did extra work–and continued their efforts throughout the week. As part of the Martin Luther King week of service, students reached out to area nonprofits, nursing homes and ministries. The week ended yesterday, and 435 students volunteered 1,056 hours.
