Beginning Monday, October 1, the Staff Advisory Council will launch the Excellent Eagle Employee (EEE) campaign campus-wide, to include Fredericksburg, Stafford and Dahlgren campuses.
The Button Campaign works like this:
Each S.A.C. member receives one EEE button at the September 24 meeting, which is open to the UMW community.
When an S.A.C. member spots any UMW employee doing something exceptional and beyond their regular duties – picking up trash, directing a visitor, helping a student, etc. – they award the EEE button to that employee. The Excellent Eagle Employee may then wear the button and then redeem it at Seacobeck for a free lunch.
The S.A.C.’s hope is that this campaign will not only broaden the awareness of the council, but will foster a sense of pride and recognition of the dedication and spirit of the UMW community.
Don’t forget to nominate a colleague for the ongoing Excellent Eagle Employee parking spot, too! To nominate someone who you believe is an Excellent Eagle Employee, just send an email to Priscilla Sullivan (psulliva@umw.edu) with Excellent Eagle Employee in the subject line. In your email, be sure to give the person’s name, department, work location (with the most convenient parking lot), and of course, the reason why you believe they should be recognized. Please spread the word to other employees about this wonderful opportunity to recognize a co-worker(s).
