CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR TRAINING

The required annual contract administrator training and quiz is available on UMW Global and should be completed no later than March 27, 2015. Instructions for accessing the training can be found here.

If you are unsure about what contracts you are the administrator for, search for your name in our online contract management system CobbleStone.

HOTEL CONTRACT

A contract was recently awarded to Hyatt Place in EagleVillage as the UMW preferred hotel partner. All members of the UMW community should use this contract exclusively.  If your department sponsors campus guests or is planning events that may involve overnight visitors, be sure to contact Ashleigh Smith, Director of Sales, at the Hyatt and request UMW contracted pricing, or if placing orders via the website, see guidelines on UMW Accounts Payable lodging website.

Parking Management

PARKING ON SUNKEN ROAD LOTS

Campus construction projects have disrupted some parking locations, this is a reminder that the lower lots on Sunken Road are available for ANY UMW decal.

JANUARY STORE HOURS FOR THE FIRST WEEK OF CLASSES

Rush Week Hours:

Monday,  Jan. 12-Thursday, Jan. 15 – 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 1h – 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 17 – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 18- CLOSED

Monday, Jan. 19- CLOSED, in accordance with the University Holiday Calendar.

GRAD NIGHTS AND SENIOR DAYS

Grad Nights will be held at the Stafford Campus on Feb. 10 and 11  from 5-7 p.m.

Senior Days will be held at the Bookstore on March 17 and 19 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and March 18, from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

BOOKSTORE MIGRATION TO NEW SYSTEM

The new point of sale and inventory control system has enhanced features that will help the store better serve the UMW community. Phase two of the transition will include an upgrade to the store’s website. More information will follow as this phase gets under way.

Post Office

CHANGES IN UPS RATES

UPS implemented a price increase effective Jan. 1, 2015.  On average, it will cost 4.9% more to send a package, depending on size and weight.  As always, the UMW P.O. will be happy to assist you in your mailing needs.
