Did you know? Anyone can come to the SAC meetings to hear what is discussed and listen to the guest speakers!
Contact an SAC representative for more information if you are interested in attending a meeting. Guest speakers for April are Kevin Caffrey and Rita Dunston. They will share information about social media and how the Registrar’s Office has used it to communicate and to help change their role and reputation on campus. The meeting is April 21 at 1 p.m. on the Stafford Campus. For more SAC info visit sac.umwblogs.org.
Nominate someone for the Excellent Eagle Employee award! Simply send an email to eenominations@umw.edu with Excellent Eagle Employee in the subject line. Be sure to provide the person’s name, department and work location with the most convenient parking lot, and the reason they should be recognized.
Reminder: Germanna Community College, the Center for Workforce & Community Education, is hosting and sponsoring a one-day Administrative Professional’s Seminar on Thursday, April 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those who have attended in the past rave about the experience! Each department would be responsible for their employees’ registration fees, however in order to receive a discount ($75 instead of $89), at least 12 employees must attend the conference. The deadline to register is April 14. If you have any questions please contact Susan Brown (sbrown@germanna.edu) or Sabrina Johnson (sjohnson@umw.edu) for more information on the Seminar and how to register!
The Office of Events and Conferencing still needs volunteers for Undergraduate Commencement for the following areas:

If you are able to assist, please contact Tameka Jalal at tjalal@umw.edu or ext: 1087. Volunteers are expected to arrive at 7 a.m. on May 7. Volunteers will finish around 2 p.m.
Orientation will soon be looking for volunteers for June orientation sessions. Keep an eye out for further communication.
