College basketball is back!
UMW Athletics will host Eagle Madness, a midnight madness-style event presented by Chick-Fil-A in Rosner Arena at the Anderson Center on Election Day, Nov. 8, 2016, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a unique opportunity for children beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Admission to “Eagle Madness” is FREE. Throughout the night UMW Athletics will raffle off prizes and run several contests on the court with both fans and players! Don’t miss the 3-point contest between the women’s and the men’s sharpshooters and the grand finale half-court shot, where one lucky fan could go home with a very big check!
Other important info for Eagle Madness:
- In conjunction with the Junior Eagle Kid’s Club, children 12 & under will have a unique opportunity to meet and take photos with the players beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the court level lobby. Enter the Anderson Center through the Ticket Office.
- Admission to Eagle Madness is FREE, but help your Eagles Stop Hunger Now and bring canned food items for the UMW Athletics S.A.A.C Food Drive which helps the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank!
- The first 100 fans who enter the Ticket Office with an “I Voted” sticker will receive a UMW Eagles cell phone wallet!
- UMW Students, Faculty and Staff – please bring your Eagle One cards to swipe as you enter the Ticket Office.
- Vocelli Pizza is teaming up with Residence Life and will be sponsoring a pizza party for the campus dorm with the largest attendance at Eagle Madness.
- The Chick-Fil-A Fowl Shot and the Vocelli VIP Sofa are back for the ’16-’17 season, and both will be incorporated into the Eagle Madness program.
- Each fan in attendance will receive a raffle ticket upon entrance through the Ticket Office. Hold on to that ticket, because periodically all night we will be raffling off some great prizes!
- Basketball Season Passes will be on sale in the Anderson Center’s main lobby. All 26 home games for just $100, or new this year $60 season pass for seniors (60+) and military.
- Concessions and the UMW Bookstore will be on site and open for Eagle Nation fanatics.
- UMW Admissions and Alumni Relations will be joining the fun and will have booths set up in the Anderson Lobby.
- Practice Eagle Nation chants and cheers with Sammy D. Eagle and hear from UMW’s new President, Dr. Troy Paino!
Parking: Free parking is available in the UMW Parking Deck, entrance behind Anderson Center off of Route 1 (headed north) by the UMW pedestrian bridge.
