Gupta Discusses with TIME how Biden Presidency Could Change U.S.-India Relations

Professor of Political Science and International Affairs Surupa Gupta was interviewed for an article in TIME magazine entitled, “How a Joe Biden Presidency Could Change U.S.-India Relations.” The article discusses Biden’s foreign policy, Trump’s relationship with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kamala Harris’ Indian roots and how they might impact the relationship between the two countries, human rights in India and other topics.

“The U.S. would not go in and intervene in domestic matters in India beyond a certain point,” says Surupa Gupta, a professor at University of Mary Washington’s Department of Political Science and International Affairs. Read more.
