Doug Gately, senior lecturer in the Department of Music, performed with the National Symphony Orchestra’s televised Capital Fourth Concert on July 5. The NSO was conducted by Jack Everly and hosted by country singer Mickey Guyton. This year’s concert included performances by Yolanda Adams, Gloria Gaynor, Keb’ Mo’, Darren Criss, Jake Owen, Cynthia Erivo and Andy Grammer, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra.
