UMW Partners with Fredericksburg to Connect Students and Local Employers, Sept. 29
UMW’s Center for Career and Professional Development is partnering with the Fredericksburg Economic Development Authority and Fredericksburg Main Street to help local businesses connect with UMW students for internships and part-time employment.
The partnership kicks off with FXBG Local Loop: Small Business Smart Staffing – Connecting with UMW Students on Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Fredericksburg Visitor Center. Associate Director of Employer Engagement Linda Rowe and Work-Based Learning Coordinator Anika Rowe will share resources and practical guidance to help City businesses recruit and work with UMW students.
The workshop will lead into The Business Pour: UMW Meets FXBG, a mocktail networking event Monday, Oct. 19 that will bring local businesses and UMW students together on campus to explore internship and part-time employment opportunities.
