Associate Professor of History Jason Sellers was featured in a Free Lance-Star article on Mannohoac marker in Culpeper, titled “Rivers were the highways of the day — Mannahoac marker features Culpeper’s indigenous history.” Sellers remarked on how vivid Captain John Smith’s encounter with the Mannahoac was and how the map he produced clearly distinguishes them as a separate people encompassing multiple towns.
