Tuttle Featured in New York City Music and Poetry Performance

UMW Health Promotions and Student Success Specialist Coordinator Ray Tuttle participated as a featured poet in Shakuhachi Focaccia: Bread, Bamboo, and Beyond, presented by Composers Concordance on Oct. 25 at the Tenri Cultural Institute of New York.

The performance brought together contemporary classical music, poetry and cultural traditions, featuring the shakuhachi, a traditional Japanese bamboo flute, alongside guitar, strings and percussion. The eclectic program featured new and recent compositions by contemporary composers, combining music and poetry in a celebration of sound and culture.
