Swiney Named C2C Coach of the Year

Men’s Baseball Head Coach Kelly Swiney was named the C2C Coach of the Year for a second consecutive season. Swiney led the Eagles to a 25-11 regular season record, including seven victories over ranked opponents this spring. UMW took down top-10 foes in Johns Hopkins and Bridgewater (twice) in the process. Mary Washington also finished with a 3-1 record against Salisbury and Christopher Newport, earning the conference’s top seed and the right to host both the C2C semifinal and championship games.

Swiney is in his seventh season as head baseball coach, after leading the Eagles back to the NCAA Tournament in 2023. UMW was ranked nationally in 2023, 2024, and 2025 and has a record of 80-42 in the last three seasons.
