VRS Offers Fall Retirement Education Seminar, Sept. 23

Virginia Retirement System (VRS) members who are within five to 10 years of retirement eligibility are invited to attend a half-day Fall Retirement Education Seminar on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Northern Virginia Community College’s Pender Office, 3922 Pender Drive in Fairfax.

The session will give participants an opportunity to hear directly from experts on a range of retirement planning topics, including:

-Retirement planning
-Estate planning
-VRS “Ready to Retire”
-Hybrid Plan and Commonwealth of Virginia 457 Deferred Compensation Plan distribution options

Seating is limited, and registration is required. When registering, move the calendar to select the Sept. 23, 2026, session. Participants will receive a confirmation email with additional details. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m., and the seminar will begin promptly at 9 a.m.
