University Advancement announces new gifts and pledge commitments:

*An alumna from the Class of 1949 notified the University that she has made arrangements in her will to bequeath $60,000 to enhance her current scholarships for students.

*An alumna from the Class of 1974 pledged $37,500 over the next five years — $25,000 toward the amphitheater restoration initiative and $12,500 to continue her support of the Fund for Mary Washington at the President’s Council level.

*A married alumni couple from the Classes of 1983 and 1984 committed $70,000 to create a new internship program for students and to continue their annual support of the Fund for Mary Washington.
