EMS Scheduling Software Demonstration

UMW Faculty and Staff:

On Wednesday, February 5, the University’s Scheduling Task Force will be holding an extended online demonstration of the EMS enterprise scheduling system in Lee Hall, Room 414. This online demonstration will replace the originally-planned on-site demonstration that was canceled due to last week’s weather conditions.

The demonstration sessions are open to all UMW faculty and staff.  They will be an opportunity for the University community to learn about the system’s features and potential to meet UMW’s scheduling needs.

The schedule for the demonstration is as follows:

9 a.m. – Noon             General Session

Noon – 1 p.m.              Break

1-1:50 p.m.                 Events Scheduling

2-2:50 p.m.                 Technical Aspects (IT)

3-3:50 p.m.                 Academic scheduling

4 p.m.                          Wrap-up

NOTE:  The general session is intended for typical end-users (faculty, staff, students, administrators).  The afternoon discussions will be more in-depth sessions aimed at high-level power users of the system and will NOT provide a general overview or opportunities for generic questions.

The sessions will be recorded and made available to members of the UMW community after February 5. If you would like to learn more about the EMS software in advance of the demonstration, please visit the company’s website at www.dea.com.

To assist the University in accommodating those who wish to attend the sessions, please email espivey@umw.edu if you plan to participate on February 5.  Thank you for your interest.
