Greetings University Community:
We are excited to host new UMW students for Spring ’16 Move-In and Orientation on Thursday and Friday, Jan. 7 and 8. This process is very important to help our new students and their families acclimate to the University community. Your support in creating a welcoming atmosphere and campus experience is greatly appreciated. As part of this process, the orientation committee has outlined the needed parking for orientation. This may alter where you will need to park on Thursday and Friday. The information below provides specific directions. Thanks in advance for your support.
In support of UMW Student Orientation, the following parking lot reservations will apply for Friday, Jan. 8, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.:
This does not include handicap parking spaces; if you are eligible, those spaces remain available.
Thornton Street (Heating Plant) lot
Pizza Hut lot
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
On Thursday, Jan. 7, there are two activities that require parking reservations.
UMW will host a Regional Public Hearing on the governor’s proposed 2016-2018 budget from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Reserved lots include:
GW Hall
Thornton Street Lots
New Student Move-In Reservations will be located throughout campus (near residence halls) to accommodate student move-in.
