The following message is from the President’s Cabinet, the Provost and the University Faculty Council:
We are pleased to announce the launch of the UMW 2016 Faculty and Staff Engagement Assessment using The Chronicle’s Great Colleges to Work for Program (a study specifically designed for higher education to recognize institutions that are seeking to build great workplaces). This voluntary and confidential assessment will ask that you provide your experiences and your views about working at UMW.
The UMW 2016 Faculty and Staff Engagement Assessment committee, including representation from the Staff Advisory Committee and the University Faculty Council, will review and analyze the results and present recommendations to senior leadership to address faculty and staff concerns and enhance overall employee engagement. All results and recommendations will be shared with the university community for input. .
On February 22, 2016, you will receive an email from Modern Think LLC, inviting all teaching and administrative faculty, classified, and wage employees to participate.
Your participation and honest feedback are critical to the university’s ability to bring about a workplace culture that supports the success and engagement of faculty and staff. To ensure the confidentiality of your responses, your assessment will be processed by Modern Think LLC, a research and consulting firm that specializes in workplace excellence. The university will not be given any information that would enable us to trace survey data back to any one individual.
Thank you to the UMW 2016 Faculty and Staff Engagement Assessment committee for their support and involvement in this project:
