We can’t do it without you. Alumni, friends, parents, faculty, staff, and students are being asked to support the Fund for Mary Washington on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016.
Established in 2012, Giving Tuesday is a global day of philanthropy fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this international event kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their end-of-year giving. UMW’s Office of Annual Giving has set a goal of 200 gifts to the Fund for Mary Washington that day. Gifts of all amounts are important and valued, and all benefit students.
Enrolling in payroll deduction is a great way for faculty and staff to show their support on Giving Tuesday. A gift of $3 per paycheck, or any amount that is comfortable for you, adds up to a significant impact for students. The new online enrollment form makes giving through payroll deduction convenient. For those who would prefer to make a one-time or recurring credit card gift, the online giving form can be accessed here.

Thank you for all of the ways you support UMW students!
