With the recent update to Banner 9, the current work request and tracking system used by Facilities Services will no longer be supported. Facilities Services will transition to a new Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS), “SchoolDude”, that will provide improved workflow and features for integration of preventive maintenance and asset tracking. SchoolDude has been running in a test mode since April of this year and is functioning well.
Effective Monday, July 2, 2018 all UMW community members will use SchoolDude to submit maintenance work requests. The main campus work order system will be the “My School Building” application within SchoolDude. Each faculty member, staff, and student will have access as a ‘Requestor’ and will use Self Service Banner/Gateway for access to submit work requests. This process is implemented with the active directory, so all UMW community members will use current Banner/UMW log-ins. System access paths to the old work request system will be the same paths to the new work request system, and there is no new password to remember.
