The Governor’s Capitol Classic Car Show
Dear Fellow State Employees:
I am pleased to announce the first Governor’s Capitol Classic Car Show in Richmond, scheduled for Saturday, September 15. As a classic car enthusiast, I am excited to host this unique, family friendly event on Capitol Square.
The event is free, and runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For those who want to register a classic car – 1993 or older – there is a fee of $25, which covers the cost of the event. If you would like more information or would like to register a car, visit OnTheSquareVA.virginia.gov under Special Events.
The car show is part of our OnTheSquareVA employee engagement program. You are encouraged to invite your friends and families to see the classic cars. Food trucks will be on site for breakfast and lunch, and there will be an open house at the Executive Mansion and tours of the Capitol throughout the day.
At 1:30 p.m., I will announce the winners of the Governor’s Choice awards.
