Stephen Farnsworth, professor of political science and director of the University’s Center for Leadership and Media Studies, moderated seven state legislative debates in advance of 2019 Virginia legislative elections, two debates for the Senate of Virginia and five debates for House of Delegate seats. Those candidate debates were held in Prince William County, Stafford County and the City of Fredericksburg and involved candidates seeking to represent those political jurisdictions as well as other neighboring counties.
