Dear UMW Campus Community,
Please join me in congratulating Mr. Alex Ecklund, as he begins his new role as director of the Office of Disability Resources (ODR). Alex was selected through a national search process where his demonstrated experience, dedication, and passion for his work shined. Alex came to UMW in 2020 to serve as our associate director in ODR. Most recently he has led the office as acting director and in so doing assumed a host of leadership responsibilities that helped the office run effectively and efficiently. Prior to coming to UMW, Alex worked for the Ohio University main campus and regional campuses to support the needs of students with disabilities.
