Created by StoryCorps, ‘One Small Step’ is an effort to remind the country of the humanity in all of us, even those with whom we disagree. The initiative brings strangers with different political views together to record a 50-minute conversation—not to debate politics, but to learn who we are as people.Conversations were recorded on campus in October 2023 and will debut during this listening event on Tuesday, April 16, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Hurly Convergence Center’s Digital Auditorium.
Audio recordings of each interview are then archived at the Library of Congress.
