On Tuesday, July 16, the University of Mary Washington, in partnership with the City of Fredericksburg, will unveil five campus markers for stops on the Fredericksburg Civil Rights Trail. These signs and the trail are already in place, with more details online at https://fxbg.com/civil-rights-trail/. The UMW-based markers start Part 2 of the Fredericksburg Civil Rights Trail.
You are invited to join the unveiling ceremony at 10 a.m. in Dodd Auditorium, George Washington Hall. Please note that parking will be reserved for guests in the GW lot and Jefferson Square lot. Parking for faculty and staff will remain available in all other designated and unreserved faculty and staff lots.
As a reminder:
- Accessible parking spaces are available in all open lots to any vehicles with DMV-issued accessible placards or license plates.
- The UMW Police Department provides escorts when needed and may be reached at ext. 1025. Please visit the Safety Escort webpage for more information.
