Associate Professor of Political Science and International Affairs Ranjit Singh provided analysis for an article published by The Cradle, a news magazine covering the geopolitics of western Asia, on the Gaza crisis’ influence on the unexpected election campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris. Speaking days before the start of the Democratic National Convention, Singh was quoted as saying that the Harris-Walz campaign was likely to “spend extraordinary energy monitoring the salience of the issue amongst the various groups they need support from to win the election, and therefore, for most Democrats, Gaza will not be a deal-breaker.”
