Dear Colleagues,
Once again, we are seeking volunteers for resume reviews in advance of the Career and Internship Fair! We had an incredible turnout last year and heard from faculty, staff, and students that the experience was rewarding.
The reviews are scheduled for the week before the Fair. During this event, faculty and staff will participate in 10-15 minute quick reviews to help students prepare for the upcoming career fair as well as their independent job and internship searches. To volunteer some of your time, follow this link to sign up: Sign-Up to Volunteer!
Event Details: Resume Drop-Ins
- Dates: Monday, February 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Thursday, February 6, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Location: Gourley Living Room, Cedric Rucker University Center
- Role: Resume Reviewer (walk up meetings approximately 10-15 minutes per student)
If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up for a one-hour time slot here. Your participation will be instrumental in helping our students present themselves confidently and professionally to potential employers. We know that hearing from their own trusted faculty and staff members makes students more likely to engage with events, and we hope you will consider encouraging your students and advisees to attend Resume Drop-ins.
Did you know that in the 2024 NSSE survey, the career-related activity that students were most engaged with was talking to faculty about their career plans? You may already know this, but you are an important part of our students’ life and career success. There are two days and multiple one-hour time slots to accommodate your schedule. Follow this link to sign up: Sign-Up to Volunteer.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a positive impact on our students’ career journey. We look forward to your involvement in making this event a success.
