Lorentzen Publishes on Thomas Hardy Novel Anniversary

Professor of English Eric Lorentzen recently published an article entitled “Far From the Madding Crowd: A Representative Culmination of a Victorian Semester” in Dickens Studies Annual.  The journal periodically publishes special commemorative collections of essays celebrating the 150^th anniversary of the publication of great works of literature, and gathers representative voices from prominent scholars in the field.  This special collection, “Far From the Madding Crowd at 150: Seven Reflections,” offered critical estimates of the ways Hardy’s early Wessex novel still matters to scholars, readers, and students today.
