The following lot reservations are in place the week of April 20 – April 25, as we welcome visitors and guests to UMW and celebrate the 100th anniversary of Devil Goat Day:
- On Tuesday, April 21, 20 spaces in the George Washington Lot will be reserved from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. for Admissions Guests and Visitors.
- On Thursday, April 23, the Jefferson Square Lot will be closed to all vehicular traffic for Devil-Goat Day. Barricades to the entrance will be in place at 10:00 a.m. All vehicles must be relocated before 12:00 p.m. Additional accessible parking will be posted on Double Drive Inbound and in the George Washington lot. Please be alert for traffic pattern changes and increased pedestrian traffic on campus.
- On Saturday, April 25, the George Washington, Double Drive Inbound and Outbound, Jefferson Square, Thornton Street, and Monroe South lots will be reserved for Academy Day from 6 a.m. – 5 p.m. Attendees will also be directed to the Alvey Deck for overflow parking as needed.
Parking for faculty and staff will remain available in all other designated faculty and staff lots. For a list view of Parking locations please see the Lot Designation Page on the Parking Management website.
As a reminder:
- Accessible parking spaces are available in all open lots to any vehicles with DMV-issued accessible placards or license plates.
- The UMW Police Department provides escorts when needed and may be reached at ext. 1025. Please visit the Safety Escort webpage for more information.
