As the fall semester gets underway, faculty and staff are invited to mark their calendars for several upcoming events welcoming students back to campus.
- Honor Convocation is Friday, Aug. 21, with seating beginning at 3:30 p.m. and the ceremony at 4 p.m.
- Eagle Gathering is Sunday, Aug. 23, on Ball Circle, following Being an Eagle at 7:30 p.m., and begins as it gets dark.
Please look for reminders specific to each event if you are part of the presentations and ceremonies.
Welcome Week continues with opportunities to help new and returning Eagles get settled into campus life. Launchpad is back this year, extended to seven weeks and designed to set UMW Eagles up for success, complete with tips on digging into syllabi, organizing college life, using Microsoft programs, getting connected with clubs and majors, and ways students can level up throughout their first year. It’s open to Eagles of every class year. Visit the New Student Programs website for Welcome Week schedules and additional information.
