Heffner’s strategic management class worked with the board of Cobblestone Children’s Museum to fine-tune its business plan. The museum’s first traveling exhibit, “Amazing Magnets” will be on display at next weekend’s Multicultural Fair. Fred A. Pierce III has been named associate provost for enrollment management and student services at the University of Mary Washington. Pierce, who currently serves as director of undergraduate programs for the University of Tennessee’s College of Business Administration, will oversee all matters related to enrollment, recruitment and student services at Mary Washington. He begins work at UMW July 25.

Janet Cropp, assistant dean of advising services, served in March as a program proposal reader for the Advising and Adult Learners Commission for the 2011 National NACADA Conference. The conference will be held in Denver, Colorado in October, 2011.
