The Office of Career Services is pleased to present CAREER DAY, Thursday, October 21 from 11-3 in the Great Hall of the Woodard Campus Center. Over 40 employers (some of whom are alumni) will be representing business, non-profit, technology and other fields. Faculty & staff are welcome to stop by and we ask that you encourage all students to attend.

UMW Internships Provide Glimpse of Future Careers

Boating with commercial watermen on rivers along Virginia’s Eastern Shore doesn’t sound like a typical three-credit class.

But for junior Will Bennett, who spent his summer on the College of William and Mary campus researching crabbing regulations, the internship not only provided academic credit, it gave him valuable insight into a potential future career.

Award-Winning Author to Give Public Reading at UMW

Award-winning author Jon Pineda will give a public reading at the University of Mary Washington on Thursday, October 14 as a guest poet of the Thursday Poems Series. The 5 p.m. session will be held in Combs Hall, Room 139 and will be followed by a book signing. The event is free and open to the public.

Pledge to STOP TEXTING WHILE DRIVING
