Message from Parking Management
The following message is from Parking Management:
Beginning Monday, Feb. 20, the University will begin replacing and upgrading the wired and wireless network infrastructure in all of the residence halls. The result will be increased capacity, performance and coverage in all halls. A portion of the Sunken Road lot has been designated as a base for this large project.
To accommodate the project, the back area of Sunken Road parking lot (lot below Alvey parking deck) will be closed Feb. 20 through May. Signs have been posted to prepare students for the closing. The area will be closed throughout the upgrade of the wireless service.
Parking in the Alvey parking deck will be available for student parking. If a security escort is needed, please contact the UMW Police Department non-emergency number, 540-654-1025 for assistance.
Thank you for your patience. For additional information, contact Jean Elliott in Parking Management at jelliot3@umw.edu.
