Parking Lot Maintenance & Closures, May 1-5

Greetings Campus Community,
We are excited to host UMW transfer students for Orientation on Monday, May 2. This process is very important to help our new students and their families acclimate to the University community. Your support to create a welcoming atmosphere and campus experience is greatly appreciated. As part of this process, the orientation committee has outlined the needed parking for orientation. This may alter where you will need to park on Monday. Thanks in advance for your support.
In support of UMW Student Orientation, the following parking lot reservations will apply for Monday, May 2 from 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.
George Washington Hall (GW), lot College Avenue row of spaces.
NOTE: This does not include handicap parking spaces; if you are eligible, those spaces remain available.
On, Sunday, May 1, Facilities Services will begin pre-Commencement parking lot maintenance throughout campus. Be alert for lot closures and parking changes throughout the week.
Please see the following list as the tentative work schedule. As with all outdoor projects, there may be delays due to weather conditions. Back by popular demand…take advantage of the appreciation blog to let your fellow co-workers know how much you appreciate them during VPSW: May 2 – 6. The blog will go live on the 2nd and can be accessed at the following address: http://vpsw.umwblogs.org. You can also drop off your “thank you” at the Fairfax House and a Human Resources staff member will post them. This is also a great week to send your # 1 F.A.N ‘s to colleagues for free UMW gifts!
DAILY PRIZE DRAWINGS
Each day of the week, a lucky employee will be the winner of a $100 Macy’s gift card during VPSW. A random drawing will take place and then the winner will be notified by email.
