Nutritionist to talk about Mindful Eating

Are you a mindful or mindless eater?  Come learn some tips and tricks from Lindsay Pugliese, MS, RD, LDN from Giant Food on January 23 from 10:30 am – 11:30 am in Lee Hall 412 as she presents Mindful Eating.
Lindsay will be back on February 21 from 10:00am – 11:00am in Lee Hall 412 to speak on Meal Prep 101.  She will have ideas on how to design your meals for the week, batch cook and more.
As always, Lindsay will have coupons, recipes, and samples to share.
These events are open to staff AND students.
Don’t forget to show your Eagle One ID card when you shop at Eagle Village Giant Food to save 5%.

Nutrition for Fitness Lovers

Come hear from Lindsay Pugliese, MS, RD, LDN the in house nutritionist at Giant grocery store speak on “Nutrition for Fitness Lovers” on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 11 a.m.-11:45 a.m. in Lee Hall, Room 412.   Lindsay will give  a presentation and have coupons, food samples and more for her audience.

This event is open to all staff and students.

Free Parking at Virginia State Parks for the Month of October

As a gift to you for Moving It, Virginia, CommonHealth has partnered with Virginia State Parks to bring you FREE Parking at all Virginia State Parks for the month of October! Must show a valid Virginia State Employment ID.

Fall Employee Luncheon, Oct. 13

All UMW staff are invited to the University Center on Tuesday, Oct. 13 from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. for the Fall Employee Luncheon.  Come hear what is new on campus, win fabulous prizes purchased from the Bookstore and prizes donated by The Department of Theatre and Dance,  UMW Philharmonic Orchestra, The President’s Office,  James Monroe Museum and Memorial Library and Kalnen Inn.  Representatives from CVC, Commonhealth, NY Life and Washington National will be available in the lobby at 1 p.m. for questions.
