Farewell From Sally Scott

Dear UMW community,

As I wrap up my final week at the university I want to thank each of you for your kindness, collaboration, and support. It’s been a fast five years! I am taking on a new professional venture working with our national professional group, the Association on Higher Education and Disability. I will be remaining nearby in the Richmond area and hope to stay in touch.

Best wishes!

Sally

Scott Publishes in AAUSC

Sally Scott, director of the Office of Disability Resources, and co-authors Sue Hildebrandt (Illinois State University) and Wade Edwards (Longwood University) published a chapter in the American Association of University Supervisors and Coordinators (AAUSC) annual monograph, Issues in Language Program Direction. The 2013 topical issue focused on individual student differences, second language development, and language program administration. The chapter, entitled “Second Language Learning as Perceived by College Students with Disabilities,” reports on a series of three studies conducted to better understand the language learning experiences of students with a variety of disabilities.
