The University of Mary Washington has announced the creation of the University Center for Economic Development and its intent to award a contract to the Fredericksburg Regional Alliance to support the university’s regional economic development efforts.

The University of Mary Washington Foundation announced two additional companies have signed leases in Eagle Village. ELS Language Centers and EverSewEnglish LLC have signed leases to conduct business in the mixed-use village adjacent to the university.

The University of Mary Washington announced it is leasing office space in Eagle Village to ELS Education Services Inc. of Princeton University. The company provides English as a Second Language instruction to international students. UMW hopes the agreement will increase the number of international students at the Fredericksburg university.
