Ground is Broken for University of Mary Washington Dahlgren Campus; Virginia Commerce Quarterly, page 14

Ground was broken near the Naval Support Facility Dahlgren in King George

County recently that will soon house a unique higher education campus.

Fredericksburg’s University of Mary Washington (UMW) is in the process

of constructing a $20.4 million facility outside the Navy base to address the

needs of Defense Department civilians, service members and contractors

working in the area.

NAMES & NOTES; The Free Lance-Star

Architect Dana W.A. Herlong received the Patricia Lacey Metzger Distinguished Achievement Award during the 17th annual Leadership Colloquium for Professional Women at the University of Mary Washington. Herlong is president of Herlong Associates Inc., a facilities management and architecture firm headquartered in Fredericksburg. She was recognized for her career achievements, which include over three decades of experience in the architectural field, as well as extensive involvement in business and community organizations.
